Join Birds Nest Foundation at the Green Festival!

The Green Festival is America’s largest and longest-running sustainability and green living event, it will be taking place on April 24th to April 26th at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. Birds Nest Foundation will be hosting a booth at the event throughout the weekend.

Our founder and CEO, Emmy award nominated producer and director, Avis Richards and NBC’s Today Show host and nutritionist, Joy Bauer will be speaking on April 25th about healthy living and lifestyle choices. Their talk titled, “Education Starts From the Ground Up,” will focus on current health issues, food trends and childhood obesity. Richards and Bauer will offer solutions regarding these matters that can potentially have a huge impact in the lives of school age children as well as adults.

Richards’ work through The Ground Up Campaign has donated academic gardens to over 230 schools across the country, teaching a total of 13,000 students the importance of healthy eating, sustainability and all natural agriculture. The campaign’s current goal is to contribute 1,000 academic gardens to public schools nationwide.

Bauer serves as the nutrition and health expert for NBC’s Today Show, she has provided nutritional insight to millions of Americans. She celebrates maintaining a prosperous life through healthy eating choices and exercise.

Richards and Bauer will be speaking alongside the Aqualibrium Garden founders and partners of the Ground Up Campaign; Josh Rittenberg, Ben-Yam Barshi, and Jared Kasner. They will be discussing the effectiveness and functionality of their gardens in schools, homes and offices.

Be a part of our movement, join the Ground Up Campaign and Birds Nest Foundation on April 25th at 1:30 pm at the Javits Center!
